mashpee community farm & garden
Sep. 3, 2024 | A gorgeous Cape Cod morning provided the perfect weather for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Mashpee Community Farm at the Mashpee Middle High School this past Friday, August 29, 2024. The garden’s already flourishing beds will provide fresh vegetables and fruits to the local community and give students a chance to learn about farming through hands on experience while enjoying the harvest in the school cafeteria. The farm also includes a bed for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe to grow the traditional “three sisters” (corn, beans and squash). Herban Fresh is a proud sponsor and we look forward to this farm serving the Mashpee community for years to come!
Pawtucket farm wildlife sanctuary
Mar. 4, 2024 | On March 5th, we had the pleasure of serving soup on the site of the Pawtucket Farm Wildlife Sanctuary in Lowell. It might not look like much, but this 20-acre former Christmas tree farm will be transformed into an amazing greenspace for the city, with plans for a farm and farm stand, a food forest, community gardens, walking trails and a nature center offering educational programming. Our partner Mill City Grows has a major role in the project. It's due to open in late 2024, and we're excited to see the how the project develops!
UML Indoor Winter Farmer’s Market
Dec. 2023 | For our second year in a row, we’ve joined our partner Mill City Grows, and other flourishing local businesses for the UML Indoor Farmer’s Market hosted by the Rist Institute of Sustainability. We sampled and sold some of our best Herban Fresh & Boston Chowda soups, along with our Herban Fresh merchandise.

Nov. 17, 2023 | This week we served a selection of Herban Fresh soups and New England Clam Chowder for the staff at Innovation Academy Charter School in Tyngsboro, MA. We appreciate the opportunity to spread the word about the Herban Fresh soup brand and our mission to increase fresh foods in local communities. Non-GMO Verification & NSF Gluten Free Certification
Apr. 23, 2023 | We’re proud to announce 6 of our Herban Fresh soups are now Non-GMO Project Verified, with 5 also being Certified Gluten-Free! Five popular vegan soups, Tomato Cauliflower, Hearty Vegetable, Butternut Squash, Yellow Split Pea, Sweet Potato + Kale are now Non-GMO Project Verified and NSF Gluten-Free Certified. Vegan Chick’n Orzo Soup is also Non-GMO.
herban fresh farm fund contest
Jun. 22, 2022 | In 2022, we launched the Herban Fresh Farm Fund to help support community gardens. Partnering with Tops Friendly Markets, we created a contest to award $5000 to a local organization to build or expand a community garden. The winner for 2022 was Homesteads for Hope, a welcoming nonprofit community farm in Rochester for individuals with and without disabilities.
